Lacey Meiers, COTA

Biography

Hey there!  My name is Lacey Meiers and I’m a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant here at Quotable Kids.  I’m from a small town in North Dakota called Stanley. In small towns, we have to be creative in finding ways to entertain ourselves.  Because of this, I’ve grown to be somebody who appreciates a broad range of activities. I can be entertained with simple things like long walks on the beach, spending time outdoors, and road tripping.  I also enjoy staying active by doing things like yoga or playing sports like volleyball or basketball. Of course, spending time with my friends and family is something that I have always enjoyed, and I love doing anything that involves animals.

After high school, I attended Northland Community and Technical College in East Grand Forks, MN.  After spending two years there, I earned an Associate of Applied Science in Occupational Therapy. Along the way to graduation, I led the Occupational Therapy Assistant club on campus as the president of the club and helped pioneer a few events that have made their ways into the yearly schedule.  After my time as president, I was honored with the title of “2018 Outstanding Club Representative.” So, that was pretty cool!

I have gotten to spend a lot of time gaining experience through volunteering in all sorts of fun places.  A few of my favorites have been with animals and athletes. I’ve volunteered in a hippotherapy (horse therapy) program and I’ve spent time hanging out with pet therapy teams around the hospital and school.  Lastly, I’ve been lucky enough to play basketball, volleyball, and soccer with some of my favorite people at Special Olympics.

I’m a girl with a lot of passion and a heart who loves to serve others, so I feel blessed to be working at Quotable Kids with many others who share these qualities with me!
